Morris Minor 1000 Traveller. 1969. Smoke Grey. Known as ROG due to his distinctive registration number!

ROG has had only 4 owners since new and has only covered 72,600 miles in all that time. We have a very full history of service and repair bills, old MOTs and even the original logbook issued by Birmingham City Council when the car was new. We have sold ROG twice previously: Once in 1999 and again in 2012. Always garaged and looked after, ROG has returned to us for re-sale as he is not getting out and about as much as he’d like and he needs more exercise. ROG is a real pleasure to drive due to the low mileage and careful maintenance. An unleaded cylinder head has been fitted and a stainless steel exhaust system but the car remains pretty much as the manufacturers intended.

Just arrived and awaiting a clean and preparation, we will list better photos once we’ve had a chance to look him over more thoroughly. ROG has never been restored and is in good original condition with a particularly good interior reflecting light use. Could be used just as is or improved as time and money allow. Offered for sale on behalf of the owner. This 1968 Morris Minor 1000 Traveller has been off the road for some years in storage. During those years it has been gradually taken carefully to pieces, largely restored and rebuilt by the owner who is a retired garage owner. Any work required to the vehicle structure has been attended to. All body panels have been removed, repaired or replaced and then resprayed in Old English White. An all new timber framework was fitted and all new interior trim too. The repainted car was finished off with almost a full set of new chromed brightwork. The mechanical side was not overlooked and everything which required attention has been restored or replaced. A great deal of money has been spent on the restoration which has produced a very smart useable car which should give many many years of pleasure and good service. Although MOT exempt, the car has undergone a recent MOT test.

MORRIS MINOR 1000 TRAVELLER 1971. Finished in Maroon with red interior. Leather seat facings and many other expensive upgrades. This car underwent a full restoration some years ago and is still in very good condition having been garaged and used carefully when the better weather allows. It has been well maintained and although no longer required, has been MOTd each year. Fitted with upgraded brakes and matching Bridgestone radial ply tyres. One of the last Travellers produced and in one of the most attractive colours.

Morris Minor 1000 Traveller 1098cc. 1968. Finished in Trafalgar Blue with a light blue interior. A sound car in good condition. A good opportunity to purchase a decent example at a realistic price. Locally owned since new. 5 owners in total. Much history. Current owner for the last 15 years. This car has just undergone some recommissioning having been garaged and unused for a few years. Recent new battery and brake wheel cylinders have been fitted and a service carried out. A new headlining has been installed along with a new front windscreen rubber. Although the car is now exempt from MOTs a new MOT is provided. We have been asked to offer the car for sale on behalf of the owner.

MORRIS MINOR 1000 TRAVELLER 1098cc 1968. This is a proper original Morris Traveller just as the maker intended. It has not been “improved” by fitting parts from scrapped Fords, Vauxhalls and Morris Marinas. It is a nice uncomplicated car, easy to maintain and which looks good and drives just as it should, having been cared for during its whole 50 year life. Only 3 owners from new. Low mileage of approx 86,000. Apparently owned by the British Government as a staff car from new until 1975. Paperwork still with the car along with old invoices, MOTs etc. Smoke Grey/Blue with light blue interior. A sound car in good condition. Restored in 2005 by Charles Ware with invoice available for £11,500.00. Only 9000 miles since. Well maintained, drives very well, MOT until November 2018. For sale on behalf of the lady owner who is seldom able to drive it now and feels that the car should be used more. It might not be the most sparklingly immaculate Traveller on the market but it isn’t £15,000 either and you won’t be afraid to use it! Morris Oxford Series 11 Traveller 1955. Empire Green with green leather trim. This car is in original, unrestored condition and a very rare model now. A local car since new and only 3 owners with a full history. The Morris, named Mabel after the registration number, is now exempt from tax and MOT due to her advancing years, but is still taxed for road use and driven occasionally.

She has a very willing 1500cc BMC “B” Series engine and is a very practical and roomy car with 7 seats.

In remarkable condition for her age, Mabel will give many more years of service with a little care and attention. A good and appreciative home is sought on behalf of her owner who has cared for Mabel since 1976.
