1961 Minor 1000 Convertible. Owned by one of our customers for the last 8 years. He purchased it from another local customer as a 2door saloon in reasonable condition then had it converted using a specialist kit from ESM Morris Minors into the convertible you now see. At the same time, the car was stripped down and the body and underside restored to a good sound standard using good quality replacement panels. The whole car was then resprayed in the original colour of Dove Grey. A new hood was fitted and an entire new interior was supplied by Newton Commercial.

Prior to returning to the road, the braking system was overhauled resulting in the replacement of the master cylinder, wheel cylinders, flexible hoses etc. A stainless steel exhaust system was fitted, new Bridgestone radial ply tyres, and a new radiator. Apart from a thorough service, the engine and gearbox and mechanical components have largely been left alone as these were considered to be in good working order. Sadly, the car has seen little use since completion. The owner has several other classic cars and the Morris has not left its garage as often as planned. It has recently been checked over and recommissioned. A new water pump and various parts replaced and the decision made to offer the car for sale. It is fully drivable and ready to go.
