MORRIS MINOR 1000 TRAVELLER 1970. £6950.00. 12 MONTHS MOT.

Morris Minor 1000 Traveller first registered 05 01 1970. Only 3 owners since new and 2 of them were father and daughter who purchased it in the 1970s and have just sold it to us. Total mileage of under 100,000, the car has been well maintained all its life and had a restoration by Charles Ware in the past which included an underside rebuild, complete new timber frame, new wings and a respray.

The car is in good condition and drives well with a responsive engine and quiet gearbox and differential. A full service has been carried out and the brakes overhauled including the fitting of a new master and slave cylinders all round. A new water pump has also been fitted. We have submitted the car for a new MOT for peace of mind – although it does not require one by law. The car now has 12months MOT until February 2026 with no advisories. It is also tax exempt of course.

The timber frame is very sound but was treated with an oil finish when replaced and this has been continued each year to preserve it. It does give it a rather dull, dark finish unfortunately.

Complete headlining in excellent used condition. Carefully removed from a 1970 Minor 1000 saloon. This is complete with all hoops and fittings. We would prefer collection of this but will consider shipping.

Right hand only available at present: Original British Leyland steel front wing. Direct from Dealership where it had spent decades in stock.

Current new price is £353.00 for the “Heritage” wings. This original one is not much more than HALF that at £185.00.

New/old stock rear wings for Minor 1000. These are original British Leyland panels manufactured some years ago and stored. The reproduced “Heritage” wings are currently available new at £294.00 each including VAT. These pictured below represent a useful saving at £235.00 for the right hand wing pictured and £185.00 for the more marked left hand one.
